UVC HVAC Systems
How to Buy
UVC technology has been around for nearly a century, but until recently, its been limited to hospitals and specially engineered environments. UVC Power was created during the COVID-19 pandemic to bring professional-grade UVC air disinfection to everyone who needs it.
This page will walk you through what UVC is, how it works, and how easy it is to install in your building — no engineering degree required.

Advanced UVC Technology
What is UVC?
UVC light is a type of ultraviolet radiation that destroys viruses, bacteria, and mold by damaging their DNA. It’s been safely used for decades in hospitals, food processing, water treatment, and HVAC systems.
UVC sterilization isn’t new — it was widely used in the 1930s and ’40s to fight airborne tuberculosis in schools and public buildings.

Two Ways to Sanitize Air with UVC

DIY UVC System
Step 1: Choose Lamp Placement
Install lamps just downstream of the evaporator coil for best results. Other options:
Step 2: Measure Your System
Measure the vertical space where you’ll mount the SpeedRack. Choose a rack size:
Measure coil width to choose lamp length:
Use one lamp size per array. Lamps may overlap slightly to cover wider coils.
Step 3: Determine Lamp Quantity
Use this formula:
Example: A 79″ tall coil with 100″ width → 4 vertical × 2 horizontal = 8 lamps
Step 4: Installation
Installation is quick and simple. Any qualified HVAC/electrical contractor can install the system using standard tools.
